SLSG Metro Heads Indoors- K1 Youth Academy, Christmas Classic and Indoor II Program

With the fall season coming to a close in the next month, SLSG Metro is pleased to announce its' indoor programing for 2011-2012. First, starting November 11th, the K1 Youth Academy for players ages 4-8, will start at The Sports Academy and run for 4 weeks. The program launched in the fall of 2010 has introduced over 150+ kids to soccer and SLSG Metro. The program is staffed by our full-time staff and provides young children with access to the area's top coaches. The 3rd Annual Christmas Classic Indoor tournament will be held December 19th to December 29th at The Sports Academy. Last year's event grew to 70+ teams, with clubs traveling from as far away as Springfield, Carbondale and St. Charles. We anticipate that this year's event will be even bigger. Finally, we are extremely happy to announce that the hugely successfully SLSG Metro Indoor II program will return this January. Started last year, the program serves as a way to provide all players with access to our full-time staff while continuing to develop players through the winter months. The immense success of our teams last spring is clearly linked to this program and there is no question that players who participated in the program started the spring sharper and more prepared than ever before. The fall season has been a tremendous success so far and we look forward to building on our accomplishments in the spring which is why we offer programming throughout the winter months as it allows those players who want to continue their development the opportunity to do so.
