The U14 Boys beat Olimpico from Southern California 3-2 to win the first National Championship for SLSG Metro, formerly Metro United. The rematch was a repeat of the opening round match that saw the exact same result and an eerily similar pattern to the game where the goal scorers and sequence of goals repeated.
SLSG Metro went up 2-0 on two first half goals to Anthony Brown. But the Californians did not quit and pulled back to 2-2 after half time. With just less than 10 minutes remaining, Brentson Wolf got on the end of a restart and flicked a header beyond the on rushing keeper for the game winner.
